    Cosmic boards: objects and procedures

    Study coordinates, layered assignments and reconstruction through Taiyi, Qimen and Liuren.

    Study sequence

    Board materials involve both objects and procedures. Marks, inscriptions and construction can be described directly, while operation may rely on separate texts. Distinguish an individual collection description from a general account of a class of instrument.

    Taiyi, Qimen and Liuren can be compared, but their assignments, procedural orders and textual traditions require independent checks. This path teaches layered recording and reconstruction before specialist methods. A simplified nine-grid exercise is not presented as a complete charting system.

    The National Museum's bronze earth-plate entry states that the heaven plate is missing. Surviving evidence can support a proposed reconstruction, but an absent component's detailed form must not be presented as directly observed.

    太乙

    One of the Three Boards, arranging Taiyi and associated agents through accumulated years, epochs, nine palaces and configurations, traditionally for state affairs, warfare, disasters and long-term cycles.

    奇门遁甲

    A nine-palace system placing the Three Wonders, Six Instruments, Eight Gates, Nine Stars and spirits according to season, date and yin-yang rotation to analyze timing, direction and action.

    大六壬

    A heaven-earth board places the monthly general over the divination hour; Four Lessons are built from the day stem-branch, followed by Three Transmissions, generals and lesson patterns, interpreted within the tradition as a matter's origin, development and resolution.

    大六壬金口诀

    A compact lesson built from the ground division, general, noble spirit and human origin, interpreted through phase relations, strength and agents.

    小六壬

    A quick hand mnemonic cycling month, day and hour through six states: Great Peace, Lingering, Swift Joy, Red Mouth, Small Fortune and Emptiness.
